Yvette Cooper, Shadow Home Secretary, recently visited Earley and Woodley to meet with Parliamentary Candidate Yuan Yang and local Labour Party members. This visit was to discuss Labour’s manifesto commitments, particularly focusing on reducing crime and antisocial behaviour.
During her visit, Yvette emphasised Labour’s commitment to creating safer communities – highlighting the party’s comprehensive strategy to tackle crime, including increasing police presence, investing in youth services, and implementing community-based programs. Yvette stressed that a visible and active police presence is crucial in deterring crime and providing reassurance to residents. By increasing the number of officers on the streets, Labour aims to ensure quicker response times and more effective crime prevention.
